WHY THIS WATCH
The Rolex reference 6084, often referred to as a “Semi-Bubbleback” is a transitional watch from the Bubblebacks that preceded it. Rolex started moving away from the ultra-curved vintage Bubbleback case profiles. The dial on this Semi-BubbleBack has a beautiful aged Ivory hued dial and features dagger and Arabic hour markers, and Tritium luminous plots that have since aged to a deep rich patina.
THE LITTLE DETAILS
Watch is from 1963, between the lugs serial 875XXX, and ref 6084. Ivory dial is in excellent condition for it’s age, showing some nice pumpkin patina on the lume points. Some light yellowing around the center of the dial, which is common for these dials. Self-Winding Rolex movement is working with no issues. Case does not appear to have been polished, shows scratches from normal use throughout the years.
